Most of us have areas in our lives that simply aren’t working. Health. Relationships. Career. Money. The root cause? Outdated belief systems that no longer serve us.
These beliefs often take root during childhood—sometimes shaped by a single traumatic event or an offhand comment that stuck with us far longer than it should have.
Let me share a personal example.
When I was five years old, a child from our neighborhood was kidnapped. My mother, trying to comfort me, said, “Aren’t we lucky we are poor? We’ll never have to worry about you kids getting kidnapped.”
As a child, that felt safe and reassuring. But as an adult pursuing greater financial success, whenever a significant opportunity arose, my mother’s voice would echo in my mind: it might not be safe. And guess what happened? I self-sabotaged many great opportunities.
That outdated childhood belief was quietly destroying my financial potential.
The Power of Responsibility
The word “responsibility” holds a powerful secret. It means the ability to respond. You are not stuck with your old beliefs—you can choose to respond differently.
The first step is deciding that you want to change. Without that decision, nothing shifts.
The 5-Step Belief Change Process
Here’s a simple process to update any outdated belief:
Step 1 – Write down the old belief.
Identify the belief that no longer serves you. In my case: “Being wealthy is unsafe.”
Step 2 – Write your new empowering belief.
Create a statement that reflects how you want to feel. In my case: “I handle money and wealth in a safe and responsible manner.”
Step 3 – Find real-world evidence.
Think of people you know who are financially successful and live without harm. List the good things you could do with more resources. Then—and this is key—write down times in your own life when you handled money wisely and responsibly.
Step 4 – Check how you feel.
Does the new belief make you feel powerful and secure? Or does it still trigger fear and worry? Your emotions reveal whether the change has truly taken hold. Keep repeating Steps 1–3 until it feels right.
Step 5 – Imagine the changes before sleep.
Each night, just before drifting off, vividly imagine situations where your new belief is working beautifully for you. Add feelings of gratitude. Picture someone congratulating you or you are shaking hands with someone who helped you succeed. Smile to yourself. Feel it. Believe it.
In my visualization, I see myself with abundant resources—saving, investing, giving generously, enjoying a comfortable home, reliable vehicles, meaningful vacations, and helping others learn to manage money wisely.
Change Any Area of Your Life
This process works for every domain: relationships, career, health, recreation, and of course, money.

A Note From Me
After spending 50 years as a Physician Assistant helping people achieve better health, I have no intention of stopping—just because I’ve retired from the office, doesn’t mean my mission is over.
Here’s what I’ve learned: many of us have simply accepted the “normal” symptoms of aging. Aches and pains. Fatigue. Brain fog. Heartburn. Belly fat. Hormone changes. We tell ourselves it’s just part of getting older. We are suffering.
But what if it didn’t have to be?
What if you could make meaningful changes and actually feel better—without relying on medications or invasive treatments?
The choice is yours. Some will read this and stay where they are. Others will decide they have suffered enough and want to know more.
I have discovered a natural approach to improving your health, and I’d love to share it with you.
