Now that all the celebrating is over, it is time to think about the coming year.

New Year’s Day is the beginning of the rest of your life. Actually every day is that, however on this day, many of us stop to think a little more about our future. For some, it is just a party day filled with fun and football and that is great. I do think it is very important to spend some time today or this week to do a little planning and thinking about your desires for your life. Every person is in a different place. Some have had a great 2015 and it is easy to look forward to a bigger, brighter, better future. For some the past year has been filled with sadness, loss, and tragedy. When we are in that state, it is not so easy to move forward to build a brighter future, but you can and you will if you chose.

I have heard people joke that their child thinks he or she is the center of the universe. That is, in fact, true. Every person is the center of their world, so we must pay attention to our thoughts, hopes, dreams, and goals because they will soon become our reality.  Every day is conception day, birth day, and death day to some part of our lives. Conception, in biological terms, is bringing together two cells that combine to create an organism, a life. But this is not just biological.  We do this hundreds of times a day. We generate an idea, a thought, a concept. If we put thought energy into that idea, it will eventually grow and be born into physical reality. We will then experience that idea in the external parts of our lives for a while. Later it will deteriorate and eventually die. This happens with every part of our lives: our bodies, our relationships, our professions, our jobs, our cars, our homes, our meals, etc. We are constantly conceiving, birthing, experiencing, and ending our creations. Some things are very simple, like thinking about lunch, deciding where that meal will come from, planning it, buying it, cooking it, eating it, enjoying it, completing the meal and cleaning up. Some are more complex, like building a career – idea, school, job interview, work, and retirement.

The timeline of every creation varies greatly. The incubation of every conception varies from minutes to years. Once something is born, its life span varies based on the natural laws that govern that entity. And also, the deterioration and death of things varies widely. So understand that every day we conceive aspects of our lives; every day things are born into our experience that we initiated at some point in the past; and every day some parts of our lives end.

So today, and periodically throughout the year and for the rest of your life, it would be wise to take some time to think about the desires that you have for your life. Some of these thoughts will come to conception, will incubate, will be born and will be experienced. Some of these thoughts you will decide are too big, or you do not deserve them, or you think you are too old or too young, or for some other reason you will not create them at this time. That is fine. You have the free will to create anything you desire.  But please understand that it is your nature as a human being to create any of your heart’s desires. The only limitation is your belief in your own capacity to do this.

Some of you are already there, totally understand this, and use these concepts every day to bring into existence a better life for yourselves, your family, and your circle of influence. Others still do not get it, but are on the road to learning and understanding these things. Unfortunately many others have given up and have become pawns in the creations of other people.

It is never too late to begin to take charge of your life. It all starts with a thought and the faith that you can and will experience the desires of your life. Once you start it, then you will be guided to the people, the books, the conferences, the experiences, and the circumstances that that will reduce your fear and increase your faith that you are on the correct path for your life.
